Monday, October 2, 2017 – Makati — JuanTax conducted its first wave of computer literacy training sessions with kids from the Jeremiah 33:6-7 Foundation Inc.
Necessity to Learn
We believe that in today’s world, machines like computers are quickly becoming a necessity not only for schools but also in most businesses. With most processes would often need the use computers (i.e. document management, spreadsheets, social media, etc.), it’s imminent that there would always be higher chances for a student/staff using a computer.
The aim of this series of training sessions is to equip today’s youth with the basic knowledge when it comes to computers, which would help them on becoming familiar with accessing the latest technology, and be prepared for the much complex challenges ahead of them.
The Training
We opened a learning facility for this selected group of children from the foundation, where they were given the chance to learn and re-explore the basic parts of a computer system and application tools such as Microsoft Word (shortcuts, fonts, paragraph lines), Type Racer, etc.
Bridging the Gap
The training session also became a great time for our trainers to get up close and personal with kids from the foundation, where they shared some interesting facts about each other.
To all the kids and staff of Jeremiah 33:6-7 Foundation Inc., we would like to send our deepest thanks for letting us become a part of these children’s lives through our training sessions.
At the end of the day, we always wanted to remind these children that there’s a whole lot bigger world waiting out there for them, and that JuanTax is always here to reach its hand to those children who also wants to be a part of that world. Hoping to see you all again in our next training activities!
