Despite the existence of functionalities such as the Transactions Module and JuanTax mobile app, is it still necessary for me to keep hard copies of receipts and other forms of accounting records?

Sadly, the answer is "yes",  you still need to keep hard copies of those documents as per instructions by the BIR -- but we’re thinking that it’s still a good practice to have soft copies of those which would serve as a backup in times of unwanted phenomenon (e.g. data loss, calamities, natural disasters, etc.).

Our Transactions Module doesn’t only allow you to create and import transactions, but taking a picture of those files from your mobile phone could also make JuanTax your own Document Management System (DMS), which lets you easily save and review captured images of all your accounting documents.
