Security Passcode

Secure your organization's information.

With JuanTax, we want you to be secure with your organisations information. Here are the different ways do that:

  • Change Password

  • Enabling Two-step Authentication

  • Turning Off Two-step Authentication

  • Setting up One-Time Password

Log in to JuanTax, go to the upper right section of the portal. Click your name and then select Personal Account Settings.

Manage your password, go to the User tab then proceed on the Security tab.

Change Password

In the Security tab, click the Edit Password button.

Enter your current password and the new password. Click the “Save” button to successfully update your new password.

Enabling Two-step Authentication

Set-up another layer of security to your JuanTax account by enabling two-step authentication.

Note: Before you proceed, make sure to download and install an authenticator app that suits your device.  If you use an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android or Blackberry device, you may install Google Authenticator.  For Windows devices, you may have to use Authenticator+.

In the Security tab, find Two-Step Authentication. Move the toggle to the right to activate.

Open your Authenticator app, since you'll be needing that in this next step.

Notice that we created a QR code for you. You have the option of scanning the code using your Authenticator app or manually setting up your Authenticator using the key we produced.

Either way, after successfully setting up your Authenticator, it will produce a unique 6-digit code which typically refreshes every 60 seconds.

To finish the enabling two-step authentication, click Next, enter the 6-digit code that appears on your Authenticator.

For security purposes we come up with three security questions that will be used to identify you in a event that you have no access to your Google Authenticator App.

Once you successfully enable the two-step authentication, a notification will pop-up into your screen.

Turning Off Two-step Authentication

To turn off Two-Step authentication, go to the Security tab. Move the toggle to the left to disable. You’ll be routed in a page where you need to enter the code generated by your authenticator app.

A notification on the left side of the screen will appear that you successfully turn off your two-step authentication.

One-Time Password

OTP or One-Time Password is one of the newest forms of security measures wherein a password would be valid for only a session. Much like two-step authentication, these passwords come in the form of codes that are designed to keep one's account secured.

To enable One-Time Passwords in JuanTax, proceed to the User tab then Security tab. Move the toggle to the right.

After that, you’ll be redirected to a page where you need to choose on what mode you wanted the 6-digit PIN to be sent, either via text or email.

Once you choose where the 6-digit PIN is sent, you’ll be routed to a page which you need to enter your PIN. Click “Next” to proceed.

We come up with three security questions that will be used to identify you in an event that you have no access with your Text Messages or Email.

A notification pop-ups once you successfully enable your One-Time Password.

To remove your One-Time Password, move the toggle to the left and a confirmation will show up.

Click “Yes” to proceed, enter your 6-digit PIN that will be sent to your chosen mode of sending it.

Note: If you don’t have any access to your Text Messages or Email, select the button “Can’t use OTP”. You will be asked to answer your two security questions.

Once submitted, a notification will pop-up that you successfully disabled your one-time password.
