NOTE: Setting up MFA using the web version of JuanTax also activates MFA for both the JuanTax Mobile App and Fast File.

How to start:

  1. Install an authenticator app to your browser or from your mobile device’s app store. There are a lot of available options that are free to download and use such as Google Authenticator. Follow the installation instructions provided for your device to add an account.

2. There are two ways to enable Multi-Factor Authentication:

2.A. Click the Enable Multi-Factor Authentication button on the banner that can be seen on your organization list screen.

2.B From your JuanTax portal, click Account Name and choose Personal Account Settings. Under the User tab, go to Security and select your preferred Multi-Factor Authentication method (Authentication App or One-Time password).

To start enabling the MFA using the Authentication App:

STEP 1: In your authenticator app, add a new account. For Google Authenticator, click the plus icon and click Add Account.

STEP 2: Scan the barcode showing in JuanTax into your authenticator app and hit Next.

STEP 3: Enter the authentication code provided by your authenticator app into JuanTax, then click Next.

STEP 4: A pop-up modal will appear where you can set up your Security Questions.

Security questions are an alternative way of identifying our users when they have:

  • Forgotten their password

  • Did not receive their OTP

  • The installed authenticator is not working

  • Entered the wrong credentials too many times

  • Tried logging in from an unfamiliar device or location

That's it! You will receive a notification that 2FA was successfully enabled.

To turn on MFA using the One-Time Password:

STEP 1: You can choose to receive your 6-digit PIN via your registered email or mobile number. After choosing, the code will be sent to you right away.

STEP 2: Enter the code and click Next.

This is the sample email you will receive if you opt to receive the code via email:

While this is a sample text message you will receive if you choose to receive the code via text message.

That's it! You're all set up to use MFA and your JuanTax and Fast File accounts are now both extra protected!

NOTE: You also have an option to remember verification for your device for 30 days.
