Enable MFA using an Authentication App

This article will guide you on how to enable a security factor on your JuanTax account using an Auth App.

STEP 1: In your authenticator app, add a new account. For Google Authenticator, click the plus icon and click Add Account.

STEP 2: Scan the barcode showing in JuanTax into your authenticator app and hit Next.

STEP 3: Enter the authentication code provided by your authenticator app into JuanTax, then click Next.

STEP 4: A pop-up modal will appear where you can set up your Security Questions.

Choose a question from a setlist that you will answer to authenticate yourself. This is an alternative way of identifying you as the user when:

  • you forgot your password

  • you did not receive your OTP

  • your authenticator app is not working

  • you entered the wrong credentials too many times

  • you try logging in from an unfamiliar device or location

That's it! You will receive a notification that 2FA was successfully enabled.
