Posting transactions can be a tedious task. This article should help you post your records in JuanTax accurately and efficiently.
Journal field
Description
Reference
Also known as journal entry number. This code can help you find the debit or credit that corresponds to a given entry. This can be numbers, letters, or a combination of both
Date
This is a mandatory field. The date format needs to be in dd/mm/yyyy. For example, 01/01/2021
Include to ITR button
Check this box if you want to include the Journal entry in your ITR
Description
This field is optional. You can enter a description for each line item. For best practice, it would be good to add a piece of information. Just click each description field to populate it with details
Account
Select the account code for each line item in this column
Debit Amount
This field is mandatory. Enter the amounts that will be debited in this column. The debited amounts must be equal to the credited amounts in the end for you to be able to post the journal entry
Credit Amount
This field is mandatory. Enter the amounts that will be credited in this column. The credited amounts must be equal to the debited amounts in the end for you to be able to post the journal entry
Total Amount
The total amount of the journal entry
Total Amount Due
The total amount due represents the amount that will be credited and debited from and to the accounts that you have selected.
Notes and Activities
On the upper right part of your transaction, you can see the history of the changes made to each transaction and any notes left for checking purposes
Voucher
Click this button to view, download or print the voucher associated with the journal entry
Journal Options
This is where you can find the option to edit the journal and its details
Add a new line
+ Add a new line - Click this button to add a new line item to the journal or click the (x) delete icon beside the line item to delete it
