Send to Client (Firm-Level)

Clients can now file and pay for their own return after the approval process

Please be reminded that this feature is not present or applicable to Direct Businesses. However, they may follow the standard approval process via user role levels. Learn more.

Important Information:

  • This feature does not require clients to be Plus users or account holders.

  • Only the Approver, Administrator, and Owner (Subscriber) user roles has access to this function.

  • Your JuanTax OTP will only be valid for up to 10 minutes from the time it is generated.

  • The BIR Certificate of Registration (Form 2303) needs to be verified before you are able to use the Send to Client feature. Check out this link for more details.

Here's how it works from the preparer’s point of view:

Once you've completed the return, it's time to get it approved by your client. Simply click the Send to Client button, enter the client's information in the pop-up window, and then click the Send button.

Keep in mind that the Send to Client email request will expire 48 hours after it is generated. After the limit has expired and the client has not yet filed for the return, the preparer may cancel the sending and resend the return to the client.

Here's how it works from the client’s point of view:

STEP 1: The client will receive an email asking them to review the return.

STEP 2: JuanTax will send the client a one-time password (OTP) using the number that the preparer has registered for them. Simply enter the verification code and press the Continue button.

STEP 3: Following a thorough review of the return, you can either file & pay the return or reject it.

3. A. File and Pay Now

Once the return is approved and final, click on the File and Pay Now button and select your preferred payment method.

Once accomplished, it will now be sent back to the preparer automatically without much hassle - filed and paid.

NOTE: After this process, the link sent to the client’s email address will be expired and unavailable.

The preparer will also receive an email regarding the status of the return.

3. B. Reject

The client can add suggested edits to the return without overwriting it entirely by leaving them as a comment in the pop-up window that appears after clicking the Reject button.

The preparer will receive an email afterward with the client’s reason for rejecting the return.

If the preparer decides to open the email after the client has decided to cancel the action, the screen below will appear.
